In October Malabar Gold & Diamonds, the sixth largest jewellery retailer in the world is making some moves. The company has plans to launch new showrooms both in India and abroad as part of its global expansion strategy.
In India new showrooms will be opened in Uttar Pradesh (three showrooms) Delhi (two) Maharashtra (two) Karnataka (two) Rajasthan (two) and one each in Odisha Telangana West Bengal and Punjab. Internationally Malabar Gold & Diamonds is establishing locations in Muwaileh Sharjah Muaither Qatar Nakheel Mall Saudi Arabia and two spots in North America: Artesia Los Angeles and Atlanta Georgia.
Chairman M P Ahammed stated that this expansion perfectly aligns with their goal of becoming the leading retail jeweller worldwide. He stressed that their growth approach focuses on practices that benefit both their business and society. It’s not just about opening stores; it’s about doing so in a way that creates a positive impact.
The new showrooms will showcase a blend of traditional and modern jewelry styles, catering to tastes. Additionally they promise a shopping experience, which adds a touch of luxury. Presently Malabar Gold & Diamonds has 355 showrooms across 13 countries. With the addition of 20 new ones their total will reach 375 showrooms, a significant increase.

The company employs over 21,000 individuals from 26 nations and operates 14 wholesale units in eight countries. It also has 15 jewelry manufacturing units across five countries, design studios and 25 exclusive brand collections. This expansion aligns with Malabar Gold & Diamonds strategy to bolster its presence in markets and broaden its global reach.
The company has received recognition for its business practices, ethical sourcing and commitment to sustainability. It was honored as the Responsible Jewellery House at the India Gold Conference 2023 24.
