Starting May 29th, Comcast is offering a new streaming bundle called “StreamSaver” for just $15 per month. This bundle includes subscriptions to Netflix, Apple TV Plus, and Peacock, and it promises to save Xfinity Internet and TV customers around $8 each month.
The “StreamSaver” bundle comes with Netflix’s ad-supported plan ($6.99 per month), Peacock’s ad-supported Premium plan ($5.99 per month), and the ad-free Apple TV Plus ($9.99 per month). While you will have to sit through some commercials on Netflix and Peacock, Apple TV Plus remains ad-free.
In addition to this, Comcast offers another bundle option that includes its Now TV service. For $20 per month, Now TV provides over 40 live TV channels and includes a Peacock Premium subscription. You can get both the streaming bundle and Now TV together for a combined price of $30 per month starting May 29th.
This move by Comcast follows a trend of streaming services bundling their offerings to provide more value to customers. For example, last December, Verizon introduced a $10 per month streaming bundle that includes Netflix and Max, both with ads. Meanwhile, Disney Plus, Hulu, and Max are planning to launch their own streaming bundle this summer.
As the prices of individual streaming services continue to rise, bundles like these are becoming an essential way for consumers to get more content for less money. The StreamSaver bundle from Comcast is a great example of how companies are trying to keep their customers subscribed by offering more affordable options.
